Project: Convince customers of other financial institutions to switch to Alaska USA.

Challenge: Because all financial institutions tend to offer products and services that are basically the same, customers tend to stay with their current institutions unless given an interesting, emotional reason to switch. Establishing a winning personality can sometimes create that difference.

Solution: Created two different “Switch” campaigns. In the first, we matched humorous headlines with interesting Alaska visuals to communicate to potential customers that they don’t have to be from Alaska to do their banking with Alaska USA (which was an actual belief in many cases). In the second, we concentrated on relationships, using headlines that applied to both personal and banking relationships.

Results: Came up with the ideas for both campaigns, wrote the headlines, located and chose the photography, and created the finished layouts for all billboard, busboard and print executions.
