Microsoft - Software Asset Management

DIRECT INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

Project: Create awareness among Microsoft employees about the benefits of talking to company clients about Microsoft’s Software Asset Management tools that help companies optimize their software assets.

Challenge: Microsoft employees were bombarded daily with company-wide communications and other advertising that they tended to ignore. This initiative needed to stand out, get noticed and get acted upon.

Solution: We created a super hero named SAM (an acronym for Software Asset Management) who was delivered in highly designed boxes. These colorful boxes served as a messaging platform that also directed recipients to a website where they could learn how SAM could help their customers. SAM stayed on the recipients’ desks, acting as a constant reminder to keep their customers informed.

My Role: Came up with the idea for SAM and then led the project from an art direction standpoint, working with a team to bring the character and his packaging to life, from concept to 3D modeling to the finished product.
