DIRECT MAIL


Project: Promote Seattle Sonics season tickets.

Challenge: The Sonics wanted to encourage ticket purchases in a way that would excite fans and stand out from typical mailings.

Solution: We created a direct mail piece that included a fully designed pack of collectible basketball cards. Each card featured an action shot of a player on the front, with schedule and ticket information appearing on the back. Chewing gum was even included to carry on the collectible card vibe. The cards were accompanied with a seating chart and pricing information, and a ticket package order form. The entire package was true to the Sonics team colors.

The direct mail package measured 9.5 x 6 inches and was designed to resemble a pack of basketball cards.

Included in the package were four player cards, ticket package information, an order form and a piece of chewing gum. In select packages, a signed Luke Ridnour card was included.
